What does climate chaos ask of us?
How are we responding to the chaos of the climate crisis? We are all focusing on climate action and climate agency … born of a belief that as humans created the chaos and crisis, and only we can solve it. Born of our anthropocentric or “humanist” belief that we are, we must be, “in control”, which rests heavily on a triumphalist conceptualization of human agency.
But might this worldview which informs our response, be part of the problem?
Join author, speaker, teacher, and self-styled public intellectual, Bayo Akomolafe, in a keynote conversation to explore these questions and more, looking through the lens of “post-humanism” … the idea that humans may not be “all that we are cracked up to be” after all.
And if so, then what does climate action and agency mean for us? What does the climate chaos ask of us?
