Tom Rivett-Carnac was the chief political strategist for the landmark Paris Agreement on climate change, adopted by 195 countries in 2015, serving alongside former UN Climate Chief, Christiana Figueres. Today the two are co-founders of political and communications strategists, Global Optimism, a mission driven organisation dedicated to actualising the aims of the agreement they worked so hard to deliver. They co-present a lively weekly podcast called Outrage + Optimism and they co-authored a best-selling book, The Future We Choose, an empowering guide that sets out how each of us can play our part in tackling the climate crisis.

Tom will join us on March 3rd to launch our 24 hour conversation, “What’s Mine To Do”, with his own coach, Jo Confino, a leading sustainability activist, journalist and Zen mindfulness practitioner. They will explore how leaders can increase their agency, recognise that climate change is an ‘everyone everywhere’ opportunity to build a new world that we can only create together.

They will shine a light on the role of coaches to challenge and support leaders in this most consequential time in human history.

When we asked Tom to join with us, he took no time at all to see the opportunity of turning the tables on Jo and to really explore with Jo what the role of coaches might be both professionally and personally as we face into this most consequential time for our species.

We invite them to share from their own experience and to really challenge us to imagine what might be possible.

We are so excited to have Tom and Jo join us and we hope you are too. And of course, we hope that Tom and Jo have such a great time, that this might just be the first of many conversations to come.
