A Taste of Warm Data with Nora Bateson
“There are unexpected possibilities that await in another order of parallel approaches. There is a territory of communication, relationship, and daily living that allows for a total change—it is within reach, but not in the solutions currently being reached for.” – Nora Bateson
The epistemological frames that have shaped who and what we have become are crumbling. Learning between people and across generations has broken down. Learning and learning to learn together over time, within multiple contexts with curiosity and care reveals the relationships and interdependencies that fertilize and nourish the soil of the territories we live within.
In this two-hour session, Nora Bateson will host an exploration rooted in theories that are often left out elements of systems thinking that inform her Warm Data work. Participants will get a taste of the Warm Data online practice, People Need People (PNP), to experience new kinds of unscripted and unexpected conversations opening fresh perceptions towards emerging territories of responsiveness where the value is in the relationships. These transcontextual conversations open opportunities for unprecedented possibilities we are bound by, unveiling the illusions of independence and widening our sensitivities to the entanglements of our living systems.
