Japanese Tea & Calligraphy Ceremony in Honor of Joanna Macy….With Master Artisans!
The Tea Ceremony: Returning to Nature “Space and Mind”??????
In the spirit of “harmony, respect, purity and tranquility,” the heart of the tea ceremony is to pray for the happiness of others through a cup of tea and to offer tea with a pure heart.
If you hold your hand tightly, you will not be able to take in something new even if you want to.
In order to let something new in, you have to open your hands and create a space, a universe.
That space is the space of the tea room in the tea ceremony, and a single tea bowl.
It can also be explained as “the state of nothingness,” and that “state of nothingness” is what each of us feels there. Please regain your original mind and return to nature.
