Action Learning / Peer Learning / Co-développement
Quote from John Heywood on Dec 10, 2023, 8:41 pmI'm proposing action learning / peer learning / co-développement (in the francophone world) as a way to constructively reflect on the situation we're in, share knowledge and information, and, together, work out what we can do.
I read this quote the other day: “What were you doing while the planet warmed by 3 degrees?” It made me think, ‘What am I doing, apart from feeling anxious, frustrated, angry, and deep sorrow for the natural world that is disappearing before our eyes?’
When I keep these sentiments to myself, I get more anxious and feel that I have no agency. When I speak about it with others, it feels better; but when I do something, it’s even better.
Given their history and efficacy in defining and resolving “wicked” problems, it seems obvious that peer learning (action learning, co-développement) groups or sets with a focus on the climate and ecological emergencies can be part of the solution.
Meetings would be online, self-managed, no cost, and a maximum of 6 people per group. It doesn’t matter whether you have previous experience of action learning. The most important thing is that you are driven to take action and do something about the crisis we are in.
