This workshop takes as its inspiration some words spoken by one of CCAA’s founders, Alison Whybrow’s:
(As coaches) …  We create conditions for the politicians to be brave enough to say, ‘actually, we need to do this’. And so that’s our pre-COP 26 role, to create the conditions for our politicians and for those representatives in the meetings to have the bravest and most heartfelt conversations they can have in service of all of our futures…
Hope for the Future has been invited to assist us in considering how we create those conditions with our politicians and two of the charity’s regional organisers, Laura d’Henin and Carina Mundle-Garratt will be our guests.
Hope for the Future is a climate charity which works to equip communities, groups and individuals across the country to communicate the urgency of climate change with their local politicians. Laura and Carina’s roles include supportive training of constituents to engage their MPs in dialogue. Their approach is empathic, non-combative and has the hallmarks of a coaching style.
To make the most of the support on offer, please ponder the two questions ahead of the event and be ready to share your thoughts in a breakout session:
1.     What are your Hopes, Fears and Dreams for COP 26?
2.     How do you think these align with or differ from the Hopes, Dreams and Fears of your MP?
Hope for the Future is hosting the Zoom call, managing the chat and creating the recording which they will make available to us after the event.
